- ExtremeLotto - Take a shot at winning a cool $1 million in this free daily sweepstakes that works just like a state lottery. Once you register here, you can play twice a day, every day. You must be 18 or older to play. (U.S. and Canada only; excluding Quebec, Puerto Rico, Florida, and New York).
- FunBets - Here's a challenging, free stock market game in which you compete head-to-head against other players to win over $40,000 in prizes. The object of FunBets is to buy and sell futures contracts to win money. The contracts are based on real-life events like basketball games, elections, box office receipts, etc. You start out with $1 million in "Fun Bet Dollars" and direct access to their trading floor. Each week, they offer dozens of events for you to bet on.
 FreeLotto - Take a shot at winning a $1 million prize in this free, ad-supported online lotto game, in which you select six numbers. Lotto drawings are held nightly here. (International availability).
 eTour.com - Tired of seeing the same old start page every time you launch your browser? Then check out eTour.com. This free service offers up a different Web site (matched to your interests) every time you enter the Web. What's more, by using it you earn "LaunchPoints," which are redeemable for frequent-flyer miles, gift certificates, and more.
- Vacation Giveaway Sweepstakes - Enter this contest from Bid4Vacations.com for a shot at winning a prize that includes a free cruise, beach, international, or other vacation package. You must be 18 or older to enter. Open to residents of the U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec). Contest deadline is Dec. 31, 2000.
- WebProvider.com contest - Sign up with WebProvider.com, a free Web hosting service, for a shot at winning a $10,000 prize. WebProvider.com is an excellent free hoster that offers full CGI access and FrontPage extensions, as well as 10 megs of space for your Web site. Other prizes include a portable MP3 player, a DVD player and a digital camera. You must be 18 or older to enter. (U.S. only; excluding Arizona).
- Millennium Getaway Sweepstakes - Enter this contest for a shot at winning a vacation trip to your choice of Cancun, the Caribbean, Nassau, Jamaica or Bermuda. You must be 18 or older to enter. Contest deadline is April 30. (U.S. and Canada only; excluding Quebec).
- Gamesville - This outstanding, free contest gaming site offers online multiplayer games such bingo, poker, trivia and more. Be sure to check out the fun Roundball Madness NBA game ("the world's largest office pool"). You also get the chance to win cash prizes, and we've had a number of visitors who've reported that they've won $5, $10 or $20 here. No special software required; all you have to do is sign up.
- Complete surveys for prizes - How'd you like to get paid for your opinions? Sign up with NPD Online Research and you'll have a shot at winning prizes or cash for completing their periodic surveys. NPD is a market research company. In their surveys, they ask your opinions on products and services, including everything from computer software to automobiles to vacation experiences. (International availability).
- Dash Scratch & Win Game - Sign up with Dash and take a shot at winning up to $1,000 instantly in their "Scratch & Win" game. In all, Dash is offering 350,000 "instant win" prizes, including a $500,000 prize. Dash is a free "personal shopping assistant," that offers you up to 25 percent cash back when you shop at selected online merchants.
 AllAdvantage.com - How would you like to get paid to surf the Web? That's what this wildly popular (5-million-member) service offers. Just sign up and you'll be eligible to start getting paid. The catch? You must display their ad-laden "Viewbar," which is basically a small window about twice the size of Windows 95/98's taskbar. While the Viewbar is displayed, you'll earn 50 cents per hour. More significantly, you can also earn money by referring others to AllAdvantage.com (10 cents for every hour that each of those people is online).
- A Mac version of AllAdvantage.com's Viewbar is now available.
- Besides the U.S., AllAdvantage.com is now available to residents of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.K.

- Note that buried in the fine details of their agreement is the requirement that you must use the Viewbar yourself to earn any revenue (regardless of how many members you have in your downline).
- Earn money by completing surveys - At this site, you can earn money and win prizes by taking part in a variety of online surveys and "FocusChats." Once you've signed up, you can earn incentives including cash payments, free long distance calling cards, gift certificates, merchandise, and chances to win prizes for participation. Sign up now and you'll be entered into their "April Cash Giveaway," in which you can win one $2,000 prize or one of eight $250 prizes.
- APaidSurfer.com - Over the past year, one of the most notable trends on the Web has been the emergence of various programs that pay you to surf the Web (typically while viewing a small ad window). This new site offers a handy roundup of the Web's major "get paid to surf" programs. At a glance, you can review details on each program.
- MyPoints - Enroll in this free program and you can earn "points" as you surf the Web. (Basically, they're rewarding you for reading ads). You may redeem your points for rewards from various merchants, including Blockbuster, Barnes & Noble, Eddie Bauer, The Sports Authority and more.
- WinDough - You can win cash and prizes while you work or surf with this major contest site. Just sign up and enter for prizes by opening the prize window and drawing successive electronic game pieces (EGP's). To win, you must draw a winning EGP from the server and click on it before the next piece is drawn. New EGPs are automatically appear about every 30 seconds. Prizes range from a $10,000 cash prize to gift certificates to mouse pads. You must be 13 or older to play.
- LottoBot - This is a helpful free reminder service if you play the lotto regularly (particularly if you're too busy to have time to check your tickets.) LottoBot will automatically check your lotto tickets for you and send you an immediate E-mail notification of your results for the latest draw. LottoBot sends personal lotto results for all the U.S. state lottos and the biggies like Powerball, Big Game, etc. LottoBot also offers results for games in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the U.K.
- Baby Blanket Giveaway - Enter to win a personalized baby blanket, embroidered with your baby's name, birthdate, and a cute design. Featured in the JC Penny Catalog, this blanket is valued at $50. You must be 18 to enter. One blanket is awarded per month. Open to U.S. and Canada residents only.
- Protein Zone - Fill out the form to enter this contest, in which Protein Zone is giving away $50 worth of vitamins monthly. You must be 18 or older to enter. (U.S. only).
- PrizePoint - This major, impressive contest and gaming site lets you compete against hundreds of online opponents around the clock for "prize points." Prizes include everything from a "quick $10" prize to DVD players, sailing trips and autographed sports memorabilia. Membership here is free and you get 1,000 prize points when you sign up. PrizePoint is the brainchild of Chris Hassett, creator of the PointCast news delivery system. (Requires a Java-capable browser and a reasonably speedy connection).
- Win $10,000 and a DVD player - Use "Recommend-It" to suggest TheFreeSite.com to a friend and you'll be automatically entered in a contest to win $10,000, as well as a Sony DVD player. (You can send your message to up to three E-mail addresses at the same time, but be sure to separate addresses by a comma and a space). (U.S. residents only).
- Get paid to surf the Web - If you haven't signed up for CyberGold, you really need to. They'll link you up with advertisers that pay you to read ads and explore the Web. There are many similar services on the Web that claim to pay you money, but CyberGold is one of the few that delivers. As long as you're going to be surfing around the Web, you might as well get paid for it, right? A popular program, CyberGold has over 1.5 million members.
- Trivia Blitz - Trivia Blitz is an addictive, Java-based game consisting of ever-changing multiple-choice questions. If you score 1,500 points or more in a 7-question round, you become eligible to win $25. Click here to play Trivia Blitz.
- Get paid at GoToWorld.com - You can earn 40 cents per hour by using search portal GoToWorld.com's free "mini-portal" (up to a maximum of 40 hours a month). More significantly, you can earn additional revenue by referring your friends to this program (and you'll earn revenue as well for the people they refer, and so on).
- The GoToWorld.com browser is 4.5 megabytes and is for Windows 98 & 95. A Mac version is promised eventually. The browser offers a number of interesting plugins, such as a language translater, an editor, a global messager, an MP3 player and more.
- No spamming is allowed with their referral program. You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
- Ignifuge.com - "Get paid to surf" programs are a dime a dozen these days. This site offers a new approach: they pay you to use them as your start page. As is typical with these programs, you also get paid for referring others to this site (up to four levels of referrals). One nice aspect of this program is that you don't have to clutter your screen with an ad viewbar. (U.S. and Canada only).
- duJour.com - A wildly popular, dynamic site with tons of puzzles, including MondoTriva, Riddle duJour and the Labyrinth and opportunities to win lots of prizes. This is a constantly-updated that changes practically all of its content every day.
