LATEST NEWS from THE FREE SITE:
__________________________________________________________
Greetings, everyone. This has been a landmark time in my life. I
recently quit "the day job" (actually, I worked nights!) as a
journalist at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. I'm now focusing all my
attention on The Free Site.
Since I launched the site three years ago, it has grown beyond all my
expectations. This has been a memorable three years and I just want
to thank everyone who has visited The Free Site and sent me kind
notes, suggestions, and words of encouragement.
When I launched this newsletter, I intended it to be a weekly. In
reality, I've done well to get it out on a monthly basis. Now that
I'm focusing exclusively on my site, I hope to send it out on a
timely weekly basis. One small change is that the issues will be
somewhat more compact. This not only makes them easier to write and
edit, but helps me ensure that each offer is as up-to-date as
possible.
There's one thing I wanted to ask readers this week. What are your
experiences in accessing The Free Site? The site is hosted on its own
dedicated server in Maryland. It always has loaded briskly for me
here in Texas. But I'm always curious about other parts of the U.S.
(and the rest of the world). Have you ever had problems accessing my
site? If so, please let me know.
By the way, have you ever heard of Kim Komando? She runs a popular
radio program that covers all things computer and Web related. She
was kind enough to feature The Free Site recently. Check out her site
at: http://www.komando.com
Incidentally, if you don't know why you're on this mailing list and
would like to
be removed, it's very easy to unsubscribe:

A unique service, uReach.com offers free "800" numbers, with which
you can leave your own personal message (and with which others can
leave you voice or fax messages).
Currently, there is a service limit of 30 minutes for phone access,
but it isn't being enforced at the moment (although it likely will be
if people abuse the service).

glitches.

How many screen savers out there give you a chance to participate in
the search for extraterrestrial life?
This free screen saver lets you put your computer's idle time to good

of thousands of computers to crunch tons of data from space.
