Did-It Detectives Search Engine - Useful service that keeps you informed about your Web site's submission status by checking the major search sites to see if it has been indexed. If you're trying to promote your Web site, this service can save you a lot of legwork (clickwork?). Warning: we've had complaints from visitors that this site sends spam to those who use it (although that was not our own experience).
Bobby Web page analyzer - Bobby is a free Web-based service that will help you make Web pages accessible to people with disabilities. It will also find HTML compatibility problems that prevent pages from displaying correctly on different Web browsers.
MyPostcards.com - This site enables you to add a free digital greeting card service to your Web site; something that's bound to enhance your page's appeal with visitors.
FormMail.To - A handy free service that lets you easily create customized E-mail forms for visitor feedback, surveys, orders, etc. Here, you can create an E-mail form with any input fields you need, including pull-down selection lists and checkboxes. You can have all your data validated for proper content and format. Options include password-protected forms and forms that can only be used from "registered" page links.
ClickTrade - Popular, first-of-its-kind service that allows you to set up your own affiliate program and reward your affiliates on a pay-per-lead or sale basis. You can browse through their large directory to find sites that'll pay you to link them. Over 120,000 Web sites participate in ClickTrade, (now owned by Microsoft).
PositionAgent - Do you know where your site ranks in the search engines? If you try to find out, it can be a tedious, time-consuming process. PositionAgent, a commercial service, specializes in rounding up this information for you. At the bottom of their site, they offer a free version of their service that lets you view the search engine rankings for your Web site on 10 top search engines for a selected keyword.
BigNoseBird.com - There are loads of free goodies for Webmasters at this site. BigNoseBird.com serves up a large collection of free CGI scripts. There's also free graphics, MIDI sound files, fonts and other goodies. The site includes over 190 pages of original Webmaster tutorials.
Jobvertise.com - This free service allows you to easily add job listings to your site. Use their intuitive interface to add, edit or delete jobs listings on your Web site. They store the software and data on their servers, so there is no installation. Jobvertise is also customizable to match your existing Web site.
LinkCount - Do you have a Web site? Would you like to know which sites on the Web are linking to it? This handy free online service will quickly provide the answer: just enter your URL and LinkCount will tell you what other sites link to yours.
Website Lunatic - Here's a good, informative resource for any Webmaster. Website Lunatic offers loads of categorized listings of free programs and services to help Web site owners. Topics include banner exchanges, CGI scripts, clip art, counters, E-commerce, free software, JavaScripts, online tools and lots more.
Mister Poll - Wondering what's on your visitors' minds? This free service lets you easily create simple, fully-featured voting booths and surveys for your Web site. If you have a particularly interesting poll, it may be featured in Mister Poll's directory, (which could lead to extra traffic for your site). Be sure to check out the "Pollster Tips" section, which offers advice in creating your survey.
SuperStats - Excellent free Web page statistics service that serves up all the information about your visitors you could ask for. It allows you to see how many people have visited your site; total & unique visits; browser types; visiting domains; referral listings (how visitors found your site); what time of day they visited; traffic patterns and much more. EPage Webmaster classified ads program - How'd you like to add classified ads to your Web site? You can, with this service. Webmasters can choose to mirror the full EPage Classifieds and/or AuctionPage.com auctions. In addition, you can create your own categories. The ads will be posted into EPage and Auctionpage where possible.
URL4life redirection service - Here's a free URL redirection service that offers you an easy-to-remember subdomain. Using it, your current site address can be something like: http://mypage.url4life.com/. Other examples include: http://mypage.u4l.com/ or http://mypage.w3site.com/. If you prefer, you may put a "www" in front of your subdomain.
SuperCalendar affiliate program - Here's a nifty program that can enhance your site and pay you, as well. This service offers a free graphical online calendar that you can customize for your site. Ideal for any site that aims to create a "community." Sign up with their affiliate program and you'll also earn a percentage of the banner ads displayed on your SuperCalendar. (Your commission varies by how many page impressions you deliver).
